In the office today, winding down some minutes and through all poetry submissions for the time being. Someone on here mentioned going to lecture on Mondays and that it wasn’t as bad as she thought it’d be. Oddly, I enjoyed lectures. I’d sit about 3/4 the way up or 1/4 way down, depending on where you’re standing and drink hot drinks and take notes and not have to worry...

Nightcap #3
Scored a stack of cassettes this weekend at Salvo and Goodwill as well as a spectacular houndstooth coat for my trip. Plus everything was half-off. Ollie and I went on a walk today when the weather turned GLORIOUS. Some photo evidence of these events to follow.  Laura and Maryah accompanied me to a party last night where I talked to a girl who is involved with Food Not Bombs about some...

This brought me a great amount of joy, because that film is effing brilliant. It had come to my attention while surfing through the message board that there aren’t many films, aside from Secretary, that depict an account of an...

Nightcap #1
This marks the beginning of a new series for Standard Human Apogees. A daily dose of ramble before I shove off to the sheets and dream apocalyptic dreams. Well, maybe not daily, but I will make it as daily as possible. Today in creative non-fiction form & theory, we talked about memory in a piece of writing. Should we rely solely on our own memory, or when corrected, should we take the...
